 National Vegetation Classification surveys, management
plans, inspections, and reports are carried out by a fully qualified
arboricultural and woodland consultant. Planting plans, grant
applications and many other aspects of tree management are covered
including the preparation of plans for timber production, conservation,
recreation or multiple use.
Project examples
Tilery Wood
A full NVC classification and mapping was undertaken on behalf of The
Tees Forest and Stockton Borough Council after the purchase of a large
area of mixed deciduous woodland and forestry plantation.
Recommendations were made on the optimal management strategies for
nature conservation and recreation, integrated with sustainable timber
production and restoration to native woodland cover.
Thorpe Wood Management Plan
Thorpe
Wood is an ancient woodland Local Nature Reserve and a popular woodland
for recreation. The management plan integrates the multi-use demands
made on the woodland, allowing small scale timber production,
conservation and recreation management to occur harmoniously side by
side. The plan also led to successful application for Woodland Grant
Scheme from the Forestry Commission.
