Management plans ensure direction and continuity of management. They
enable forward planning, co-ordination and allocation of resources and
are a valuable tool in obtaining funding and support. We will prepare a
management plan for your site/area from consultation and research
through to printing and presentation.
Project examples
Castle Eden Walkway Country Park
The
Castle Eden Walkway Country Park is owned and managed by Stockton
Borough Council. It is situated in the urban fringe of
Stockton-on-Tees, attracting 150,000 visitors a year. The site
comprises a three and a half mile former railway line with footpath
loops and links into the surrounding countryside. It now forms part of
a major national cycle route. The old railway station has been
converted into a busy visitor centre and is adjacent to extensive car
parking, play areas, picnic and BBQ facilities. This area forms the hub
of a popular events programme.
Admiralty Ecology Site
The
site is owned by British Chromium who, in partnership with The Tees
Forest, are keen for the community to enjoy the site. The plan lays out
the foundations upon which community involvement and participation can
be built and grow alongside the careful management of the site for its
wildlife value.
